Creating Your First Website by 3:45 This Afternoon – EBook Review

Create a website – can you do this? If someone asked you about creating a website what would be your answer? “Yes, I’d really like to know how to do that but I haven’t the faintest idea how to go about it.” Or something along those lines.

A lot of website creation pages have loads of information but if you don’t know what the terms mean and how they fit into the website creation picture, odds are that they really will mean little to you. One site about website creation that I looked at had 17 clickable articles. Information overload!! It happens. You click on one article which leads to another article which leads to another article and so on till you totally lose the thread of the first article.

When you see the terms html, web editor, zip files, public_html, DNS settings and index.html what do you think? “Yikes! I can’t understand any of those terms”. Perhaps you think it would be too difficult and give up trying to find out how to create a website.

No, No and No. You needn’t do that at all. If I could point you to a place where you can find out the basics of website creation delivered in a very informative, easy to understand FREE, yes FREE, eBook, would you take a look? I think you probably would.

You can even take a sneak peak at 20 or so pages of the eBook before you submit your email address. How cool is that? Pretty neat eh? Chris, the guy who wrote the fabulous little eBook, literally takes you by the hand and shows you EXACTLY what to do in a very friendly non-condescending manner. Interested?

To start, you will be told where to get a domain name and where to get it hosted. Most website creation tutorials will tell you about domains and hosting. It is pretty basic stuff. (I have a little secret about how you can go about getting free hosting for almost unlimited domains but you won’t know about that until a little later on. And I mean free hosting minus the ads. Got your interest now haven’t I?)

However, do you know about web editors? You will be shown where to download a free editor, how to unzip the folders and how and where to save them. It is really important that you unzip folders as you won’t be able to use them if you don’t.

There are nice big arrows on the screen shots with big yellow boxes saying “LOOK” in huge letters, ‘add here’ and ‘save here’ etc. and so on. You can’t miss them. It even shows you what window will pop up on your screen so you know you are on the right track. This is good stuff. Agree? In fact it is 120+ pages of jolly amazing stuff.

Then you get to the exciting part – wait for it! – creating your first web page. Tada. If you don’t think it is going to be a real thrill to see how your first web page will look on the internet, (Yes, you are even shown how to do that!) then don’t bother reading any further.

It is definitely a YIPPEE! WOW! moment. Even if your web page is so basic it would embarrass you to let anyone see it, it is still a huge thrill. Every little step is explained in chattily encouraging detail. There is no chance of misunderstanding what you need to do. Really important points are mentioned such as saving your work at every stage and keeping things all together in one folder.

This is just a small selection of what you can learn in this fantastic little eBook. Things such as testing your web page, changing fonts, adding images, resizing pages, adding other pages and even linking to other websites are also part and parcel of what you get.
